Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Project Head (DGM Level) to lead and manage large-scale projects in the Transmission and Distribution sector, with a focus on advanced technologies such as High Temperature Low Sag (HTLS) conductors and RDSS-linked MVCC projects. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Project Management, Quality Assurance, Services Management, and Re-conductoring Business, with a strong track record in conceptualizing and executing critical infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Lead end-to-end Project Management for transmission lines, overhead conductors, OPGW, and re-conductoring assignments.

·         Ensure timely erection, commissioning, and operationalization of projects while meeting cost, quality, and safety benchmarks.

·         Manage project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution, with strong monitoring and control mechanisms.

·         Spearhead contract management, including negotiations, compliance, and site-level oversight.

·         Oversee the complete execution of Right of Way (ROW) acquisition, civil works, and electrical infrastructure.

·         Liaise effectively with government bodies, utilities, and regulatory authorities to facilitate project approvals and clearances.

·         Drive cross-functional collaboration with SCM, Contracts, Finance, HR, and technical teams to align on execution plans.

·         Provide hands-on technical leadership to field teams during installation, start-up, system testing, and commissioning phases.

·         Lead initiatives to develop and manage a strong network of contractors and subcontractors.

·         Promote a culture of safety, quality assurance, and continuous improvement at all sites.

·         Ensure timely project billing, field loss control, and adherence to company SOPs.

·         Take ownership of team development, motivation, and performance optimization across projects

Key Skills & Attributes:

·         Proven leadership in managing large-scale, cross-location infrastructure projects.

·         Strong expertise in HTLS conductors, reconductoring strategies, and T&D segment execution.

·         High level of organizational skills, goal orientation, and attention to detail.

·         Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and contractor handling capabilities.

·         Strong grasp on project financials, risk mitigation, and operational efficiency.

·         Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams.

Educational Qualifications:

·         12–15 years of rich experience in the Transmission & Distribution industry.

·         Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

·         MBA or equivalent qualification in Business Strategy or Marketing is preferred.
